Islamic Organizations and Activists Shut Down By Brigitte Gabriel Dear <:firstname:>, Yesterday I shared with you the story about the proposal in Los Angeles to "map" Muslim communities as a means of identifying where Muslims most likely to resort to terrorism might live. Today, this sensible proposal is dead. Why? The LA Times reported that the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) dropped the proposal "after a week of protests by Islamic activists." One activist was quoted as saying "community outrage" stopped the program dead in its tracks. Wrong. "Community outrage" didn't cause the LAPD to knuckle under. It was well-funded, organized pressure exerted by Islamic activists and organizations like CAIR (Council for American Islamic Relations) that brought the LAPD to its knees. Islamic organizations and activists have used and will continue to use the same tactics to silence opposition, intimidate those who speak the truth about Islamofascism, and crush efforts by federal, state and local governments to root out the terrorists and jihadists in our midst. I talk with many of you in my travels, and I know you're very concerned - even outraged - about mosques preaching the overthrow of our government, Islamic militants infiltrating our intelligence agencies, and jihadists being trained in paramilitary tactics in Islamic compounds right here in America. But what happened in Los Angeles is a perfect example of how simply being concerned won't stop the spread of Islamofascism. Our outrage won't stop it. Even putting out truthful information won't be sufficient to stop it. When all is said and done, it will take organized action to stop it. This is why I founded ACT for America. This is why we're building a chapter network with the goal of creating the largest grassroots citizen action organization in America. And this is why I'm asking concerned members like you to become a monthly contributor or make a one-time contribution to ACT for America today. We have over 300 chapters starting in 42 states. We are ready to launch major initiatives that will demonstrate to those in government and the media that we have the will and the courage to roll back the tide of Islamofascism. And with your help, I know we will be successful. But we will only be able to compete with the millions of dollars that flow to Islamic organizations from wealthy Arab sheiks as concerned members like you click here to become a monthly contributor or make a one-time contribution. As I said in my email to you Wednesday, if just 10% of the members who get this email commit $20 per month - or only 67 cents per day - that will provide ACT for America with $74,000 each month! Think about it. Your $20 monthly contribution will be part of a growing tidal wave of support that will help us compete with the money that flows from Arab sheiks overseas to Islamic organizations here in America. That's the power of "when everyone does a little we can accomplish a lot." And as we build this citizen action network, the next time a city plans a sensible program to identify potential Islamic terrorists, that city will know that ACT for America supporters everywhere will rally around it, and local chapters of ACT for America will swing into action and express "outrage" when Islamic activists try to shout the program down. As our citizen action network grows stronger and stronger, elected officials who agree with us will know that we are organized, that we will speak up, that we will ACT!, and that they can count on our support as they work to enact laws that will protect us. And elected officials who are now more concerned about being called "Islamophobic" than about doing what is right for our safety and security, will know that they had better "see the light" or they will "feel the heat" on election day. So often people who love America tell me they feel helpless. I see the despair in their eyes as they ask "Can this be stopped? What can one person like me do?" Friends, we are helpless only if we choose not to take action. The choice to act or not act is ours. We can stop the rising tide of Islamofascism, but we won't stop it by doing nothing -- we will stop it by taking action! This is precisely what Edmund Burke, the 18th century English statesman, was referring to when he wrote: "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." When good men and women like you act, the course of history is changed. I will continue to sound the warnings about Islamofascism and Jihad. I will continue to inform and educate political and law enforcement leaders and officials. I will continue to proclaim the truth about the danger that is welling up within our borders. But I know that what I do will not be nearly enough. I am asking you to ACT today, for the sake of your family, your community, and your nation. I grew up in a country that was overrun by Islamofascism. I have seen what cultural Jihad has done to Europe and Great Britain. I have vowed that I will do everything I can to prevent those things from happening here. But I know that, if we are to succeed, we must ACT together. Please, don't put this aside. Please act now by clicking here to do what you can. If you've already committed your support, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. If not, can I count on you to ACT! for America today? Thank you. Together we rise in defense of America, Brigitte Gabriel ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ACT for America is an issues advocacy organization dedicated to effectively organizing and mobilizing the most powerful grassroots citizen action network in America, a grassroots network committed to informed and coordinated civic action that will lead to public policies that promote America's national security and the defense of American democratic values against the assault of radical Islam.
